What's new in the studio?

What's new in the studio?

As I am starting to expand beyond just the website, I thought it would be a good time to start adding a blog to the site.

So this is the debut of my blog posts, kinda the catching everyone up to life in Twisted Chick Studio. So this one may be a long winded post- I promise future ones won't be so lengthy.

In February I added a new embroidery machine to my studio, I have named her Baby. But she is far from being little!!! Especially compared to my original machine that is about 1/4 her size!

The addition of this new machine, allows me to work with much larger designs and items faster than my previous machine. I still have my other machine and have at times had both going at the same time to get orders filled!

August 1st 2026, my new booth set up in Sunday Morning Mercantile opened. Sunday Morning Mercantile is located at 1807 Washington in Great Bend Kansas. It is open from 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Sunday Morning Mercantile is a small shop that is hosting a huge variety of different vendor booths. If you have made it this far; hop over and give them a follow. (I will even make it easy for you: https://www.facebook.com/sundaymorningmercantile )

They regularly highlight the various different vendors and the many different products available in the shop. There is not a single specialty in the shop, everything is special!

At this time many of the items I have available in my booth are not available on the website, my plans are to rotate things out of my booth seasonally or offer smaller quantity items. If you are interested in seeing what is currently available in my booth make sure you are following my Facebook Page, as that is where I will be announcing new items and changes to my booth.  https://www.facebook.com/TwistedChickStudio

Not only have I branched out to adding the new booth, I am slowly starting to work in some craft shows/fairs. If I am planning on setting up at a craft show/fair; that information will be shared on my Facebook page as well. I am trying to stay with in a couple of hours of the Great Bend area.

I have added a new section to the website my Custom and Special Order Showcase. Since custom and special orders never make it to the website for sale, I am hoping that they provide some inspiration for ideas of things that we can create! Even though most people look at embroidery as T-shirts and hats, I hope highlighting some of the different things that I have made shows that it is much more than that!

I have many new items that I will be adding to the site that will be custom order only items. Mainly because they are large and detailed items that will only be made when ordered. Most average between 10 and 15 hours for me to make them! So they will also not be a quick ship item! But I promise the wait to get them will be worth it!
