Dads Honor Flight
My dad had the honor of being able to go on Kansas Honor Flight #103. This trip was so meaningful to him and had a much bigger impact than he ever imagined.
A couple of times when he came over to visit; I was working on other shirts and he would comment about having a shirt that would help him spread the word about how wonderful the trip was and help others get the same opportunity.
This is the result. (The pics are AI assisted as I could not get him to model the shirt for pictures) I will say though the AI model has slightly more hair than my dad HAHA. My dad is a Navy veteran.
Kansas Honor Flight, provides an all expense paid 3 day trip to Washington DC for veterans to visit the memorials that honor their service. Everything that they do is supported by volunteers and donations.
If you know a WWII or Vietnam vet in Kansas that has not been on an Honor Flight, PLEASE encourage them to sign up- it truly is an opportunity of a life time. * They will eventually open the flights up to veterans of other time periods; but at this time the goal is to make sure that those that may not have the opportunity "later" are taken care of first.
