Red Friday Vest
This is a red suede vest that a customer wanted to add designs to supporting military members. (this is a repeat customer; who is also the owner of the Honor and Remember patches and facilitated me doing the KS4Vets designs)
This project started with this picture:
This was turned into a design and placed on the back of the vest as a 6 inch by 10 inch design with a fully stitched black background. (total design was more than 175,000 stitches) The change in font and added background was necessary to allow the various shades of reds from the vest and design to stand out properly. The highlights on the lettering that looks grey in the picture is actually white.
On the front of the vest he wanted to make sure that the KS4VETS design was on the lapel as well as another type of design that supported Red Friday. After testing out multiple designs we decided on a tattered flag design with the Red Friday wording. Again because of the color of the vest we had to adjust the color of the wording so it didn't blend in.
KS4Vets is a non profit organization who provides a variety of supports and services for veterans.
